WARRANTY INFORMATION

NYC Wheels offers a warranty on all wheels to cover against manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials under normal and intended use. Wheels supplied by NYC Wheels will carry a lifetime structural warranty for the life of the product to the original retail purchaser of the product.

NYC Wheels further warrants to the original purchaser that:

Finish Warranty:

  • All painted and clear coated wheels will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and intended use for a period of three (3) years from the date of retail purchase.
  • Chrome finish covers only both peeling and separation of the plating surface from the wheel for two (2) years.
  • Polished and uncoated/raw finish wheels oxidize and require regular maintenance. Polished aluminium and uncoated/raw wheels are not covered under this warranty.

This Warranty is Void if:

  • Wheels are NOT purchased from an authorized dealer.
  • Any malfunction, defect, or failure caused by improper maintenance, wheel transport damage, accident, abuse, or negligence.
  • Corrosion or cosmetic issues on wheels result from car damage, chemicals, climate conditions, or neglect.
  • Blemishes, peeling or discolouration on the back side of the wheel.
  • Damage or structural failure occurs due to road conditions, accidents, off-road activities that exceed their load rating, or road hazard impact.
  • Damage resulted from improper mounting, excessive vehicle loads, and/or incorrect tyre sizes.
  • Appearance defects in wheels that have been mounted after purchase or damaged during tyre mounting and/or balancing.
  • Wheels damaged by shipping or handling. Inspect shipments and contact the shipping company if any products are damaged. Shipping damage claims must be filed with the delivery carrier.
  • Accessories that are supplied with the original purchase (wheel nuts/bolts or hub rings) are not covered under this warranty.

Return Policy

All products returned must have pictures or video of defects before a return authorization is issued. Wheel photo/video must show defects and the face of the wheel for verification of style. All products returned must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice to the place of purchase with transportation pre-paid.

All returned items must have prior approval before sending them back, please Contact Us to set up a return authorization. Returns must be requested within 30 days of original receipt of merchandise. Once approved, all items must be returned within 14 days. When needed, we can provide return packaging that includes instructions on how to securely package all items for shipping. If an item is improperly packaged for shipping and damaged during the return process, the customer may be responsible for the cost of the damaged product. Warranty items must be purchased directly from our store. Warranties are not transferable and claims will only be submitted for the original purchaser.

All returns will carry a restocking fee that is dependent on the items ordered as well as the manufacturer of the items. The restocking fee is typically around 25-30% but, due to vendor contracts, some products can carry a higher restocking fee. The buyer must fully cover shipping and handling expenses. 

All products must be returned in new condition, without damage and with all original accessories. Returns with unexpected damage, signs of use or missing original accessories (such as center caps) are subject to increased restocking fees or complete refusal of the return at our discretion. If the return is rejected due to previously listed circumstances, we will work with you to return the product(s) back to you at your cost. If approved after inspection, the order will be refunded via the original payment method, less any applicable fees. Once the product is received, your order will be inspected, dismounted, and restocked accordingly within 14 business days. If the product has been confirmed to be in original condition, your order will be refunded via the original payment method.

Why do I have to pay a restocking fee on my return?

Restocking fees are necessary with these larger items because it takes a full team to set up the return, clean all returned items, thoroughly inspect each return, and restock the items to our inventory. If a return is going back to the supplier or manufacturer, these restocking fees are enforced by them for their own cleaning, inspection, and restocking.

Recommended Wheel Care Instructions:

Improper cleaning or maintenance may void any and all warranty claims.

Wheels should be cleaned by hand regularly to remove contaminants like road grime, salt, ice/snow melting chemicals, dirt, and brake dust, which trap moisture and can be corrosive and cause pitting to the wheel’s finish.

Automatic spray and touch-free car washes do not completely remove contaminants and can cause harm to the finish; hand washing is highly recommended.

Avoid using automatic car washes as the cleaning products and brushes used to clean tyres can damage the wheel surface. Please be aware that most car washes use steam cleaners or strong chemicals to clean wheels, which can result in permanent staining and/or corrosion.

Never wash your wheels when they are still hot from driving. Do not attempt to cool hot wheels with water as this may cause damage to the finish, cause discolouration, and can warp the brake rotors and/or drums.
